Wedding Etiquette: Facebook Invite Vs. Traditional Wedding Invitations – What’s Your Take?

There’s no doubt that social media is embedded in our lives. It has brought about profound changes in how we interact with one another and the world around us. Information sharing is drastically fast with the use of social media tools like Facebook and twitter.

One thing I have noticed lately is people using Facebook and social sites as a means to invite people to their wedding ceremony versus the traditional approach of sending out paper invitations. This brings forth a question for discussion and I’ll like to read your opinion on this.

Do you think it’s okay to use Facebook as a way of giving guests wedding information, specifically using it as an alternative to sending out paper invitations or Save the Dates?

I think their is no doubt that wedding cards are special part of wedding ceremony. In the world of socialism people now invite their relatives on face book through invitation cards, suddenly there is big change in people mind , now wedding invitation is done through social networking sites. So new trend is being followed by current generation.
