As we unveil 2012, I look back at an industry that perhaps brought the most benefits to the youth and aspiring minds, an industry which the stakeholders are yet to embrace its potential perhaps due to the strength of financial benefits been derived as necessities to its consumers or perhaps a ‘Naija factor’ which only embraces success rather than accomplishments, strength and impacts towards growth or should i begin to look inward again at the so called ‘big players’ within the industry who have suddenly decided to carve a ‘niche’ which lacks good standard and integrity.
The wedding industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today, the Nigeria wedding industry is currently the largest in west Africa, creating vast employment for individuals in various aspects it encompasses such as fashion and style, beauty, catering, photography, event planning, confectionery, venue styling and music entertainment.

Within the last years, various event centers has been unveiled to accommodate the growing trend of wedding ceremonies in and around the country and more and more wedding parties are staged at event centers today due to uncertain weather conditions, convenience and safety of the guests and wedding party as a whole.
The wedding industry is an ever growing industry and lots of potentials are still left untapped especially in Africa where weddings extravagant ceremonies that brings families together to celebrate different cultures and traditions sometimes without compromising on the financial implications.

Every wedding should have a wedding day coordinator, families and friends are not always the best people to leave responsibilities for on a day like these.
As a certified wedding planner myself and an observer of the industry, the most important element of a successful wedding ceremony is good co-ordination and supervision to avoid costly mistakes and ensure all goes well according to plan. Remember that ‘less is more’ it is not how much you spend on your dream wedding but how you spent it that makes the difference.
